WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

Intuition is our birthright.

A rooted, personal, non-dogmatic relationship with spirituality is a human need.

As artists and creatives, we are naturally attuned to the subtle, unseen realm. We work with inspiration daily.

And yet, even our arts education systemically teaches us to distrust our gut feelings, our hunches, our non-linear flow – especially when they go against the grains of venerated establishments and celebrated institutions.

Reclaiming our inner mystic requires patience, consistency, and cultivation.

My work aims to provide spaces, tools, and resources to decondition from fear of failure, societal judgment, and perfectionism, in service to rebirthing the inner artist.

ABOUT ME

For as long as I could remember, I only wanted to be two things: an artist and a mystic.

As a child growing up in Jakarta, Indonesia, I was humming the dragonflies’ songs while drying hand-washed clothes with my maternal grandmother. I recounted mythologies with great gusto to anyone who who would listen. I was doodling everywhere – on my textbook covers, my sister’s arms, the insides of my father’s car (which, as you can imagine, wasn’t exactly well-received).

My wise child self knew that there was no separation. Only inherent belonging.

As I grew up, I began struggling with my self-worth. I excelled academically and that was how I sourced love and validation. So I applied the same discipline into music – trying to be the most technically proficient pianist I could be.

At each turning point, I lost parts of myself.

In the end, I’m grateful for it all.

I believe that Change is the only constant. In the words of the wise Octavia Butler:

“All that you touch

You Change.

All that you Change

Changes you.

The only lasting truth

is Change.

God

is Change.”

Within the collective Westernized, capitalist, colonial dream, our institutions and authorities place tremendous value on learning how to strive, and very little on learning how to be with Change. As a result, when visited by Change, many of us become aware of how ill-equipped we are to be present with Change.

In my personal path, I’m committed to being present with Change and to observing what emerges out of that presence.

In my path of service, I’m devoted to the art of learning how to be others as they move through change. This is my way of honoring the mycelial network of human and non-human teachers who have walked alongside me through periods of change.

In my work, I help clients and students in reorganizing their realities.

Together, we come up with big questions. We track how they move through our bodies. We get curious about the alchemy of permissioning our hearts and imaginative faculties to dance with the mystery.

I collaborate with models and mirrors of reality to guide others in moving through their own spiritual (re)birth canals. Years of committed studies and practice of western astrology, divination, and subtle alchemy has led me back to the more relational, less dogmatic path of my ancestors.

These tools, practices, and knowledge systems are profound sources of wisdom and comfort. They ultimately help increase our capacity and skillfulness to be with our own non-linear process.

I currently live and work in unceded, occupied Lenape land (currently called Brooklyn, New York). I’m a Virgo Rising, Pisces Sun, Gemini Moon, a Sacral Generator with only the 5-15 channel defined on the Right Angle Cross of Consciousness, and an ENFJ.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on long walks with my partner, reading surrealist sci-fi novels, and exploring various meditation techniques as embodiment practices.
